Account & Data Deletion
At OneWise, we respect your privacy and give you full control over your personal data. You can request to delete your entire account or specific data at any time.
Request Account Deletion
To request that your OneWise account and all associated data be permanently deleted, please email us directly.
To request account deletion: Send an email to contact@onewiseapp.com with the subject line "Account Deletion Request" and include the following information:
- Your registered email address
- Your user ID (if available)
- A clear statement requesting account deletion
- Any additional information that may help us verify your identity
Once we receive your request, we will verify your identity and process your account deletion. You will receive a confirmation email at your registered email address once the deletion process is initiated.
Request Data Deletion (Without Deleting Account)
You can also request to delete specific types of data without deleting your entire account.
To request data deletion: Send an email to contact@onewiseapp.com with the subject line "Data Deletion Request" and include:
- Your registered email address
- Your user ID (if available)

Specify which data types you want deleted:
- Profile information
- Chat history
- Consultation records
- Payment history
- Search history
- App preferences
You will receive a confirmation email once the selected data has been deleted.
What Data is Deleted
When you request account deletion, the following data will be permanently deleted:
- Account credentials and authentication data
- Profile information (name, photo, bio, etc.)
- Contact information (email, phone number)
- Chat and messaging history
- Consultation records and session data
- Payment and transaction history
- Search history and app activity logs
- Preferences and settings
- Uploaded files and media
What Data is Retained
Certain data may be retained for legal, regulatory, or business purposes:
- Financial records: Transaction records required for tax and accounting purposes (retained for 7 years as required by law)
- Legal compliance: Data required to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, or enforce agreements
- Anonymized analytics: Aggregated, anonymized data that cannot identify you personally (used for service improvement)
- Safety and security: Records related to fraud prevention, security incidents, or violations of our Terms of Service
Data Retention Period
After you submit a deletion request:
- Immediate: Your account will be deactivated immediately, and you will no longer be able to access it
- Within 30 days: All personal data eligible for deletion will be permanently removed from our active systems
- Backup systems: Data may remain in encrypted backups for up to 90 days before being permanently deleted
- Legal retention: Data required by law (such as financial records) will be retained for the legally mandated period (typically 7 years)
Note: Once your data is permanently deleted, it cannot be recovered. Please ensure you have backed up any important information before requesting deletion.
Processing Time
We aim to process all deletion requests within 30 days of receipt. You will receive email confirmations at the following stages:
- Immediate confirmation when your request is received
- Notification when your account is deactivated
- Final confirmation when data deletion is complete
